About this machine
Liftronic sells used electric reach trucks with capacities from 1.5 to 5 tonnes and lift heights from 4 to 6 metres, with further units arriving regularly. A reach truck is the standard machine for warehouse racking: it carries the load inside its wheelbase and extends the mast or forks forward to place pallets, so it needs much narrower aisles than a counterbalance forklift. When choosing a used reach truck, start from your top beam height and heaviest pallet, then check the residual capacity at that height, the battery condition and the hours.

What to check when buying a used forklift
- Hour meter reading, and whether it matches the machine's condition
- Battery age and capacity (electric trucks) or engine condition and service history (diesel)
- Mast, chains and rollers for wear and play
- Hydraulic cylinders and hoses for leaks
- Fork blades for cracks, bending and heel wear
- Brakes, steering and tyres
- A legible capacity plate that matches the truck and any attachment
