Rated capacity applies at the standard load centre and a low lift height. Long loads, attachments and higher lifts reduce it, so tell us the heaviest load and the lift height.

If the truck works mostly indoors, choose electric. If it spends its day in an open yard, on uneven ground or lifting above 7 tonnes, choose diesel.
Three-wheel and four-wheel electric forklifts
- Three-wheel electric forklifts: A single drive wheel at the rear lets the truck turn in a very tight circle. They suit narrow warehouse aisles, container work and small loading areas, usually up to about 2 tonnes.
- Four-wheel electric forklifts: More stable on ramps and dock plates and available in higher capacities. The better choice for heavier loads, longer runs and mixed indoor and light outdoor work.
Batteries and charging
Electric forklifts run on traction batteries, either lead-acid or lithium-ion. A lead-acid battery typically needs a full charge after a shift and regular watering; lithium-ion batteries can be opportunity-charged during breaks. How long a battery lasts depends on the truck, the load and how hard it works, so tell us your shift pattern and we will match the battery and charger to it.
The charger needs a suitable power supply and a ventilated, clear charging point. We check the charging arrangement with you before delivery.
Electric forklifts in UAE heat
Batteries and electronics work harder in summer. Charging in a shaded, ventilated area, keeping battery compartments clean and checking electrolyte levels on lead-acid batteries all help an electric forklift keep full performance through the hot months. Our technicians include these checks in routine servicing during the rental.
Electric forklifts are also well suited to cold stores, where diesel exhaust is not acceptable. For freezer rooms, trucks need components and cabs rated for low temperatures — tell us the room temperature and how long the truck will stay inside.
